My truck is finally home from the collision center. It took a uniside, inner, outter post and two doors to get it done. I have not seen it yet but my wife drove it home and can't tell the difference from before or after the wreck. I checked in on it from time to time they did and excellent job as far as I can tell. No frame or drive trane repairs were needed. Glad to have it back!

That was the accident with the Subaru and other F-150 a few months back correct? I'm surprised there was no frame damage. That side was pushed in pretty far.

Glad your truck is home, Make sure to get it in the sun ASAP to check for paint matching, and see if the doors close as solid and flush as they did before.

 

Not sure how it works, but I am under the impression that a major accident that gets repaired logs your VIN so when you go to sell your truck in the future anyone can see that it had a major repair done. Does that affect your resale value?

Yes it was the Subaru collision. Cushmans paint and body has an excellent reputation in town I don't believe there was any further damage. The paint was so new I am not too worried about matching but who knows. As far as the documented repairs and lose of value GA law helps with that. Gieco, her insurance owes me the the diminished value. I just hope the repair was good and I keep the truck for a long time.

 

Wow, 9 weeks. Well at least it is done and to your satisfaction. Most body shops paintwork is better than what comes out of the factory nowadays. Post up some pics when you can.

 

Be glad to, it will be a while I am on an extended hitch for work, couple of weeks.
