You should not buy a 6.2L, I would definitely look into the Eco or the 5.0 and save us 6.2 owners the grief of your lack of knowledge!

One guy whining about his stupid duty in an old post shouldn't be used to sway a decision. Go drive one even if you have to do some searching around beyond that one truck. This engine pulls well at any rpm in comparison to most other V8's I have driven. I haven't owned many trucks this heavy that can lay scratch from a 20 mph roll with ease. The first truck I drove as an F150 with a 6.2 was a dud.... i was skeptical. This one most certainly is not. Or yeah.... like above says.... just buy an Ecoboost or 5.slow like everyone else lol.

HP rating on 2013 F150 6.2 is around 411
Torque is rated about 434
according to the Ford site.

gas might not be the greatest, I get 10 to 12 MPG on the average,
but do most of my driving in town,

If you have to ask about mpgs, a 6.2L is not for you...

Your one Raptor doesn't necessarily account for the rest of the F150 6.2 lineup.

Maybe not but I agree, you don't go looking into the biggest motor they carry and then worry about MPGs, if that was the case they should be looking at a V6 or a smaller truck.

In most cases the V6's don't get much better gas mileage than the V8's in pickups.

No but you don't so that with any truck. If economy is your number 1 buy a dam car lol. Your 4.6 in all likelihood gets the same as most non lifted and non Raptor 6.2 trucks..... so... or worse with your mods... Couple that with most people here... oh let's buy for the best economy possible and then I am going to level, add bigger heavier tires and waahh my truck only gets 13 mpg regardless.... so I better complain on a forum. I get similar numbers driving in a sane manner as a good chunk of the Eco ' s and pretty well any similar configuration 5.0....

I know one person with a stock scab 4x4 5.0 who is an outside sales guy. No idea on whether its 3.31 or 3.55 but its not 3.73 and bone stock plus staying that way. His highway mileage bests my numbers by about 1 to 1.5 liter per 100 km... and he drives for economy doing easily double the mileage a year than the average of this forum. It's a lot over time and that truck made sense for him and the miles he puts on. He pulls a small holiday trailer in the summer and it does fine. So yes... any situation can justify what a person needs...
