Is the 6.2L worth the $$$$

The 6.2 in the raptor is exactly the same tune & everything as the 6.2 non raptor 150. The difference is the raptor only has 4.11 gears. The lowest you can get in a non raptor is 3.73. I opted for the 3.55's because I do mostly interstate driving. So I do get better mileage than a raptor but I'm slightly slower on takeoff. I love the engine, good old cast iron block, good old hydraulic power steering. It's just right.

My dad has the 6.2L, I have the 5.0L. Both are fantastic engines. Ford really knows how to make a nice V8!
Now, as far as which one I'd get, the 6.2 is a torque monster and you can really feel the difference between it and the 5.0L down low. Up high, not so much. I'd love to have the 6.2 but I don't want to pay for the fuel. My dad's is a pig on fuel. The 5.0L is the best all-rounder, I just wish you didn't have to get that EPAS garbage.

The biggest difference is the weight. The Raptor is much heavier than a regular F150.

Go for it while it's still available - great motor and NO EPAS steering! This motor can make serious HP; check this out.

I love my 5.0L but if the FX2 was available with the 6.2L I woulda bought it.
There's no replacement for displacement! I understand the 6.2L is old technology push rod motor vs the OHC 4V 5.0 but I still would have choose the 6.2L.
