Driving 75MPH in a 20-45MPH headwind, yes that is not a typo gusts were up to 55. I was driving west on the way there and had a west to west-northwest headwind. On the way back was the really windy stuff left a few days early to get away from the storm and you guessed it a east south east head. So for those conditions I was very impressed for the 13.8MPG

Anyway here are some extreme mods...enjoy
Not gunna lie I wanted the raptor 6.2 emblems but I'm not spending 89$ lol so I spent 5$ and got black stickers that look oem haha

On the contrary, I kinda like mine being stealthy without any badges...

JEALOUS. I too would be considered an old timer, 57 yo but does not mean do not still like sound, power, looks etc. Do not drive my age. Love my 5.0 with 5 star tune but have longed for a 6.2 just because it is a bigger motor. Nice Ride!

Alpine, I like those as well, but just like you there was no way I was going to spend that kinda money on them. These are somewhat close.

Dirt, I thought about that as well. I do like the fact of being a sleeper. But I figured for less then 12 bucks shipped it would be worth it to see how I like them. About 10 min to install. It's a subtle change and I like it so far. Adds a bit of chrome detail that is close to stock but a bit different.

Doc
Thanks so much. I love the truck. I was originally looking for the 5.0 as the 6.2 is just so rare I figured finding one was out of the question, especially used. Super glad that I found this truck. I'm only 33 but enjoy the older items. Here is my 52 GMC I just sold and a 50 Chrysler I just got. Now I can fit my whole family of 5 in the car!

Same here, but I tend to go back and forth. Sometimes I wish I had them, sometimes I like being stealthy.

I hate it when people ask me, "you like your 5.0"? I reply, "I don't have one". Then they say, "why did you take your eco-boost badges off then"?

I've had many people ask me if mine is really a 6.2. For some reason, the general public thinks that only the Raptor had it.

And yes, I opted for the OEM 6.2 badges, they look good.

The people that don't know that ford offered the 6.2 in other models other than a Raptor or super duty are just brochure followers

Wink

It's amazing to me how many people just don't know. Even some guys who ask me that have F150's, or claim to know a bunch, are surprised when I tell them the truck actually has a 6.2 in her. "Wow. I didn't know you could get one in a F150", "Really. How did you find it?" "I thought only the Raptor had it". So on and so forth. Then when I say I factory ordered her, in 2010, it really blows some of their minds. I wanted the braggin' rights, and to advertise what I had. So I ordered me a set of the factory 6.2 badges and put them on. It was one of the first mods I did. On that day, I added the 6.2 badges, put on the smoked Vent Visors, Put in a set of Silverstars, put a set of PIAA Ion bulbs into the fog light housings, and put on a set of PIAA long range fog lights. On the back of the truck I also put on a V8 badge from an Explorer. The first pic is shortly after I got the truck. The next is about a month later, the day I added the stuff.
