The E85 tune is for trucks that are not already flex fuel capable. If you have an 11-14 5.0 the tune will do nothing for you, just get the race tune offered by either. Both 5* and MPT told me this word for word.

I thought it was the other way around, good to know. MPT told me you can mix the E85 with the 93 tunes and I have done that in the past with my ssi tunes and it does give it more thump. usually I go 60/40, 93/E85. I haven't done that since my new short block and reloaded this tune. Of course the gas mileage goes way down. This is on the 5.0 and not the ecos.

I see that this is the MPT street tune you were comparing blue5.0, have you ever tried the prx? I haven't tried the tow/haul button yet but will soon as I also have a 6x10 trailer to pick up Thursday so I want the transmission shifts smoother. really liking this race tune more and more everyday. I added a little E85 this morning and topped off with 93 to fill up. Truck loves it! really pulls hard up hill getting on the interstate, I looked down with moderate acceleration and was at 85 like nothing and slowed her back down. I could feel how it had plenty of pull power to spare, maybe this is the torque converter lock up. I am going to check my speedometer for accuracy this week. I can see why Rnlcomp likes this tune, and hitting the switch to a more stock like shifting seems really nice, cant wait to try that. Saves flashing back n forth.

With my last update after my 4.10's were installed, MPT updated to PRX.

I thought you were not supposed to run E85 in vehicles that are not flexfuel equipped? FlexFuel vehicles have stainless steel fuel lines and other special coated engine components to prevent corrosion that comes from using concentrated ethanol and non-flexfuel vehicles do not. Is this not the case with the F150?

Yes, after I ordered the race tune, i first felt like it was too much and MPT sent me the very first transitioned version of the PRX and asked me to try it, that was around December of 2016. Then recently they sent me a newer version of the prx tune also. I noticed with this mix of E85 and 93 gas on the race tune I have seen no knock activity with the x4 hooked up and monitored on normal driving. Hopefully it is monitoring it, I have to check with regular 93 as with the prx i see some activity of plus or minus around 4 to 6 on just 93.

Still running the 93PRX tune from MPT, but have added nitrous and an E85 nitrous tune-125 shot as well. I've also recently added GT intake cams. Last fall before the cam install I had a new best 1/4 mile time with the truck 12.6@110mph and after the cams the dyno showed 493hp/562tq on spray and 373/343 N/A. Still datalogging both tunes and going back and forth with MPT. Still happy, but it does take a solid 72+ hours minimum now to hear back after I send a log in to get a revision or the green light on the tune. In the near future I will actually get a custom dyno tune, probably after I add a circle d converter.

Nice!

Going to try this combo for now.

MAYBE add the 85mm throttle body but nothing else for now.

Don't bother with the 85 mm Tb. Your $$$ can be spent elsewhere and you'd get a better bang for your buck. Also if you want a TB you can buy an 87 mm tb and adapter from the GT350 that will work! Check MMR's website for that.
