5.0 People who commute w/ city traffic, what fuel mileage are you getting
#21
Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
So many factors go into MPG you cant compare to people from around the world. Altitude, temperature, tire pressure, gearing, tuning, driving habits, tire size, engine, etc. etc. Like you said, nobody buys a truck for miles per gallon, we buy them for smiles per gallon

My commute is 14 miles one way, 60/40 highway and stop-go. Averaging 17.4 on the computer. All city I get about 13, all highway about 21. 5* 87 performance tune, E rated AT ties at 60 PSI.

I wouldn't want to touch Randall in traffic times! However I have to run 94 to Northbrook for work, some days is good and some days I just want to pull over and cry. Especially if there is even a chance of rain or snow. Its like every time the weather changes we forget how to drive.

SW Chicago suburbs traffic, 11-13mpg with current mods. When it was stock, 12-14mpg. I drive with a medium foot and find myself hot roding it from light to light quite often.

Stock I was getting 15-18 nothing but suburb driving 1.7 miles to work. Now that I have heavily modified with lift kit, other suspension mods, larger tires, custom tune and my heavy foot, I get about 11 (s)miles per gallon.

That just made my decision on a lift kit. Nope.
