I just drove from north Buffalo NY to Paducah KY to pick up a set a 2015 take offs.. wheels and tires. I have a 2014 XLT scab 4x4 5.0L 36gal tank stock with KnN drop in filter. On the drive to Kentucky I averaged 18.5mpg on the way back to Buffalo I averaged 20.5mpg did the tip in less than 24hours driving only used a little over 2 tanks of gas. Here's some pics of my dash trip averages. 5.0 getting 14mpg highway. Why?!?!-image-3766533641.jpg the first pic is the entire round trip 5.0 getting 14mpg highway. Why?!?!-image-419274013.jpg This second pic was right after a fill up in Erie PA

What was your adverage Speed.

Speedlimit by my house is 75mph. And people run much faster than that.

I did the speed limit the entire trip so most of interstate 71, 69, and 90 was about 70mph but in some of the cities it was 55mph.. I did not speed at all the cops where everywhere in Ohio. I'd say my average speed was 68mph

Love how people argue on here so much lol.

What I paid for was the works package, multi point inspection, bake fluid flush, fuel induction service (jb cleaner and perform mist service-whatever that is) that's about the only think I could think of that helped, cleand up dirty valves and injectors- or they lubed up my caliper bolts. Either way my mpg came back-results may very but I'm happy with mine. I needed an oil change and tire rotate and out the door price was $369.13

After every oil change you should run a bottle of Chevron Fuel Systems Cleaner threw your gas.
Might help with some of your problems.

I used the Lucas fuel treatment on this last fill up. We'll see if it helps. Thanks for posting!

Next time try Seafoam. Lucas didn't do anything for me but Seafoam did.

Had a similar issue changing the Michelin AX2 tires to BFG KO2s. They installed E rated tires and only inflated to 32 psi, MPG took a HUGE hit. Inflated to 70 PSI and getting 20+ MPG on the freeway again.

I drove up to squaw valley today and my MPG was garbage. Guessing it's my tire pressure. Even straightaways on 180 were poor, even at 60-65.

I came back to post that, but saw someone else already did. Check that.

70psi?! Won't that cause uneven wear in the middle? I just cleaned all my spark plugs, MAF sensor, and throttle body. I am getting 16.5 now versus the 14 i was getting. What pressure is best for MPG? I also have the K02(275/70/18).
