Default 5.0 0-60

Just curious if anyone has done any 0-60 tests with their 5.0s. I wanted to get an idea how before and after numbers. I have a 4x4 Lariat Crewcab. I didn't do a hard launch, just a simple pedal to the floor run. I know the times would be much faster if I got the RPMs up before launching, but it was strictly for before and after performance, so I wasn't too concerned about that.

I pulled a 7.6 seconds. I then did a 60-80 just for S&Gs to see how my mods will effect passing and it did it in about 5.7 seconds.

Anyone else? Just curious to see what some of you folks got, because magazine review performance numbers, well, we can all agree that they should be taken with a gain of salt.

If you post numbers, be sure to post up if it's a crew and 4x4/4x2 etc.

Gear ratio and overall weight make big differences too.... Maybe ask for that as well?

7.6 isn't too bad for a soft launch. I bet high 6s if you launched hard and in 4x4

Oh yeah, didn't even think of the gears. 3.55s. I don't have a weight on the truck. I could probably look up the ball park number.

Jesus, some of you guys just want to kill everyone's fun constantly. Get off it and move on if you don't give a **** about topics like this. Some people like the every day workings of a truck, but like to add a little fun to them.

Some of you fail to realize there is a huge number of people that enjoy fast trucks and having fun in them. When you realize that your personal tastes and what you want out of a truck is not what everyone else wants, then you won't look like such douchebags to the rest of us.

I'll never understand the need to worry about how fast a 6000lb brick goes.

Get a race car and use the truck to tow it to the track!

Sure there are but most don't buy 4x4 super crew with the slower motor of the bunch to do it!

If you want a go fast truck you should have bought a tremor or used lightning!

You could drop coin and get a Hennessy velociraptor!

I was going to reply to this, but then I realized I would be wasting my time.

This is the second time I got a bunch of **** from people on this site. Ill be discontinuing my build thread on here, as well as moving on to another site that doesn't **** with me every time I post something performance oriented.
