4x4 question.
Took the truck out into the desert yesterday. About 20 miles through the dunes to our favourite camping spot. Decided to try it without airing down. Didn't have any trouble, although the *** end did get a little loose a couple of times. Odd thing was that a few times when I could feel the rear getting a little loose I lost power and got dash message " trailer sway please slow down".... any one else come across that before?
I was not towing trailer, 4x4 hi engaged, traction control off. I was maintaining pretty constant 50mph running at about 3000 rpm.

I didnt realize that it was in the menu, I dont tow, so havent explored the tow options at all. The thing I was more concerned with is the fact that it was activating and I wasnt towing anything. I dont have any additional electrical items wired in at the rear. Just seemed a little screwy. And pissed me off a bit that it was killing my power. I've had the traction control do that to me while trying to climb a pretty nasty dune and got me stuck, but that was my own fault... had turned the engine off a while before and forgot to turn the TC back off when I started up again. Learned that lesson the hard way... now every time I we head off the beaten track, I get the wife reminding me to turn it off.

You do, Hold down the traction control button for about 10 seconds. I don't know if that turns off trailer sway but it does turn off the roll stability control and some other advancetrac features.
