35k Service
Hey guys....I keep getting reminders from Ford for a 35k service. Best as I can tell from the manual there isnt one. Am I missing something? Also, manual says change coolant every 6 yrs or 100k. I'll be a t 6 yrs and maybe 34k in April. Do I need to get it done? Its a 2013 5.0 FX4.
Had the rear diff done already in an attempt to cure that howling noise I referenced in another thread. New fluid and whatever additive for suggests so thats all good to go.
So basically there is no formal 35 k service. I guess I can have the coolant changed. Oil and rotation I do myself.

From my own personal research, the coolant is the one thing on a Ford that is safe to go 100k on.
Transmissions seem to benefit from early changes, 60k. Transfer case earlier than 60. Differentials around 60k.
If a person can do the work themselves its pretty cost effective. I'm doing transfer case this weekend. Still want to do rear diff. I've had my tuck 3 months (2016) with 64k on it.
Especially without knowing how it was driven before me, I'd like to change differential oil.
I need to get the front end noise sorted out before I change front diff though (IWE/Wheel Bearing/Diff bearing howling). Take me out of the equation for performing poor service and having warranty claim denied.
On the flip side, one can wait to have fluids changed later and have big failures if oil fails or one can pay a little bit if money and have oils changed a few years early. It's going to take ME many years to get to 100k from the current 64.
Ford isn't going to cover any major failures after 60k if oils break down.
