305/60r20 vs 295/70r18
Hey all,
I'm looking at upgrading my tires on my truck. I currently have 305/60r20 on stock FX4 rims. I'm considering dropping to 18's because they are a bit cheaper and I think they look good with a little more sidewall. If I go this route I'm thinking 295/70r18 tires considering they are similar in size to my current wheels. The truck is stock, no leveling kit yet. Does anyone see an issue with this?

These are the wheels and tires I'm considering. I am not against keeping 20's, however discount doesn't carry 305/60r20 and I have permission to use the discount credit card. I'm not real smart on tire talk, if I decide to stay 20's, what's the closest size to what I'm running now.
Thanks For any guidance. I have read forums for the past three days and haven't found exact answer.

Boost :)
The 305/60/20 is just an odd size tire that a lot of manufacturers don't make. You will find a LOT more options with 305/55/20. That tire will be just as wide as you have now (305mm), but will be about 1.25" shorter. If that's not something you want to sacrifice, you may need to shop around some more for the 60 series tire.
Look on tirerack and a few other places too. Don't just restrict yourself to Discount.

I have the 305/55/20 (Nitto Terra Grappler G2) and it's an awesome tire. Plus it has a 55k mileage warranty. I'd stick with the 20's - the FX4 rims look the best in my opinion.

Can try 285/65/20, that's a little taller per specs, less wide.
Or 295/60/20, that's a little shorter and wider, but taller than the 305/55/20. This is probably the closest to your size.
Go to tiresize.com to calculate and look at many options.
