Default 3/4 full?

I replaced the canister purge valve and that fixed the incorrect miles to empty readout, the air rushing into the tank when I go to fill up and the no start after fill up. It did not fix the full tank issue. I still can’t fill past 3/4 of a tank. Any ideas?

Shelbyville, Kentucky?!! Whasssup!!! Louisvillian here.

Is it not letting you fill past 3/4? Is it shutting you off prematurely? Are you 100% certain the tank is not full?
See if this thread gives you any ideas:

EDIT:
This post specifically (Bent fuel sender)

I’m wondering if the tank was sucked in like that for a while and bent the sender? But the distance to empty seems to be working. Yesterday i filled (3/4) when it read 17 miles to empty. I put in 18 gallons before it clicked off. I believe I have the 26 gallon tank. I just bought this truck and I love driving it. It just has a few issues to take care of. It’s a new experience for me it being larger than what I’m used to driving. It’s a base XL in oxford white with no options. I did read through most of that post and there are a lot of similarities.

That's fantastic; and perfectly normal. I was the same way when I bought my 2011. The trucks are big; and I find myself backing into parking spaces more often than with my old charger.
But... don't they feel absolutely great

You can find out what size tank you have if you use ForScan.
If you don't, it's a pretty neat tool. Let's you get in and inspect/change some of the base values of the vehicle.
there is an entire thread here related to our year trucks and ForScan.

I was reading some of your posts, what became of the issue with the dealer selling you the truck without a clear title?

After three months of no title; I finally went back and told them I did not want the vehicle anymore.
They refunded the purchase price and the maintenance I had performed.
All in all; it really didn't cost me too much.

I found a similar vehicle at another dealership in town; and they treated me like a.... wait for it.... a CUSTOMER!
It's been about 40 days now, and I just received my title in the mail.
I couldn't be happier with my new vehicle.

I have been cautioned about that previous dealership.

Well, just drove my truck across town to take my daughters dog to her house and the tank read 200 miles to empty. I checked it when I was almost home and it was 241 miles to empty then went down to 236 miles to empty in less than a quarter mile. I can deal with the 3/4 tank thing for awhile but this other bs starting again is going to drive me nuts.

Sorry, sorry... I didn't see your last message.

I have been cautioned about that previous dealership.
Interesting! I hadn't heard anything bad about that place; and actually figured it would be one of the better dealerships (it's in a really decent part of town).
I ended up getting absolutely stellar service from the downtown Ford on Fifth and York... lol.

I checked it when I was almost home and it was 241 miles to empty then went down to 236 miles to empty in less than a quarter mile.
This is normal. The estimated miles to empty is just that... an estimation. Furthermore, additional factors will affect the estimation (like parking on an incline; or hauling a tow).
It will fluctuate from time to time.

My daughters driveway is a slight incline. I sat for a bit with the engine running before I went in. I will keep an eye on it. Is the display independent of the actual gauge? I should rely on that instead.
