Default 2wd Rear Block Install ?

2011 xlt 2wd.

I recently did a front level and truck ended up being nose high. I have purchased and plan on putting in 4x4 OEM blocks to bring up the rear a little.

I found in the how-to section, how to install rear blocks, but this requires removing wheels/tires and placing vehicle on jack stands, etc.

I'm okay with doing this, but thinking about it, is there a reason you have to remove wheels/tires and place the vehicle on jacks? Can't you simply unfasten u-bolts on one side without removing wheels, use a jack (on leaf springs) to get enough clearance, slide block in, refasten u-bolts, and repeat for other side?

Just want to make sure I'm not over-simplifying something.

its a lot easier to get to everything with the wheels off. I tried to do mine with the wheels on but it just got in the way.

I left my wheels on and had no issues putting the blocks in.

Yes I already have longer u-bolts that came with the 4x4 OEM blocks.
