Just an obvious question, did your original mirrors have heated defrost? I changed mine to towing mirrors and could only install mirrors with identical features for them to be functional. I suppose this is due to the wiring configuration.

No they were not originally heated mirrors but someone on here fit the same upgrade and it worked for him but I think it was 2015 so maybe that’s the difference don’t know I wish it would had worked due to the cold weather in the north east, but they look good with the chrome cap and all the other functions working.

Not sure that 2015 would be the same, here's 2013. Do you have rear defrost? The OEM system has the mirror heat tied into the rear defrost. Which means you need the wiring for that entire system, if you are trying to retrofit to OEM. The relay is #4. You could also wire this directly.

I don’t have rear defrost, but put the defrost button.

What year mirrors did you get? I am thinking on the same upgrade and believe I read they have to be 2013-2014 mirrors to work with 2014, or was it had to be 2013-2014 hvac controller... now I confused myself.

I have a 2014 STX 5.0 and I just did this to my truck about three months ago. The mirrors where from a 2012 F150 which are heated with turn signal indicators. I had a hard time finding a used hvac controller that I was confident in that would work, so I purchased a brand new one from Tasca Ford for my 2014 year. There are many different controllers so you have to get the one that is correct for what you have in your truck plus just heated mirrors with no rear defrost. Where did you get your temperature controller from and what year was it made for?

It came from a 2013,2014 hvac, and the mirrors Are new after market.
