Default 2014 Limited Modifications

Hey everyone, just wanted to make a post about my 2014 Limited. I recently did some modifications to my pickup and I wanted to share. It has the 6.2L V8 and has around 130k miles. I bought it 6 years ago with 40k miles and it was mostly stock until recently.

Morimoto XB headlights, XB tail lights, XB fog lights, sequential mirror turn signals (front and back), puddle lights.

Rigid industries E Series Midnight Edition 20 inch light bar. I moved the license plate over with ecoboost brackets. The bar is wired to the factory fog light switch.

22 inch Fuel Rebel 6 in Bronze wrapped in Toyo Open Country ATIII in 285/45R22.

KYB struts up front and KYB Monomax shocks in the rear

Leer cap with all the bells and whistles. Amazingly this was a Facebook Marketplace find.

Other miscellaneous things include 35% tint up front with a 5% brow on the windsheld. AVS aeroskin II, GRS led interior lightinlig, Husky floor liners all around. Cover King dashmat (insert old man jokes here lol)

The Morimotos are a definite upgrade. Much brighter, crisper light output.

Nice truck for sure. But something that nice would defeat the purpose of it being a truck for my needs because I'd be worried about hurting it when I use it as an actual truck. For things like going off of paved surfaces and for hauling yard waste and garbage to the landfill. I look at my 2014 Limited as more of a beater since the wife daily drives the nicer of the trucks we own.

Gorgeous truck. And the 6.2 is one of the best engines Ford has produced in the last 20 years. But after being bitten buy Canadian truck that rotted out quickly while in my possesion, I'll never buy another one. (I know it's Canadian because the 13-14 Limiteds were Ecoboost only in US)
still a fantastic truck for you. Enjoy

Good catch on it being a Canadian truck. I am more than happy with the 6.2L, I am hoping to get many more miles out of it. I did a ton of research on the 6.2L before buying it and the concensus was that its super reliable. As far as rust, I was born and raised in North Dakota so i am familiar with it. The undercarriage is super clean with just the usual surface rust here and there. It appeared to have been treated with fluid film quite often before i bought it.

Most of the time Americans get Canadian trucks are from Ontario and Quebec. Which being from western Canada, most of us don't consider those two places to be part of Canada, we call it Trudeau-land.

My 07 had very little rust. My 2010 has some rust. Hopefully I'll get another year or two than upgrade to a newer unit.

Nice looking rig.

You are correct. This truck was sold new in Ontario before it was exported back into the states. Obviously they replaced the guage cluster when bringing it back stateside, so i am missing the original that said "Limited" above the tachometer. That kind of bums me out lol

Yeah, I wasn't so lucky. My 2013 Platinum had an address programmed in it for St. John, New Brunswick. Right on the water and northeast of Maine so I would assume it gets LOTS of snow and thus of salt. But by the time I knew all of this, it was too late to change my mind.
