Exactly. Mods can make the truck handle it better but legally you're still limited by the stickers. Another trick because of payload limits is to put all the gear and bs in the trailer where it won't affect the truck as much. tow with an empty bed and cab except for people. Also go on a diet. 2 or 3 300lbs guys is a lot worse then 3 150lbs guys.
