2013 SYNC w/MFT Update
Hello. I have never had any issue with SYNC or MyFordTouch until I updated my iPhone. It still works, but occasionally the phone won't automatically sync upon startup or Bluetooth connectivity is sketchy. Now there are updates for SYNC that I am supposed to buy a jump drive for to load onto the truck from the Internet.
Has anyone else done this? Any advice? Is dealer intervention required at any point? Thank you in advance.
I have searched a few threads but haven't found specific answers.

Did you already attempt to delete and reconnect the phone? Were there any noticeable connection improvements?
Here are some other awesome troubleshooting tips that may help: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-t...=my-ford-touch
Which type of system are you attempting to update? Check out this link if you're not sure: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-t...html?sync=sync

Here are the instructions to format a USB Thumb Drive to FAT32 on Mac:
◦Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port on the Mac.
◦Open the Disk Utility program, located in the "Utilities" folder under "Applications."
◦Click the flash drive in the left column.
◦Click the "Partition" tab.
◦Click "1 Partition" under "Partition Scheme."
◦Click "MS-DOS" under the "Format" box.
◦Click "Apply" to format the drive as FAT32.
Here are the steps if you're using a Windows computer:
◦Insert the USB drive into an open USB port on the computer.
◦Click the "Start" button then click "Computer".
◦Right-click the USB drive listed and click the "Format" option.
◦Select FAT32 formatting under File system. Choose either quick format or regular format by checking or un-checking the Quick Format box.
◦Click "Start" to start the formatting process. Most Windows versions will give you a warning that all of your data will be erased. Click "OK" if you want to continue formatting the USB drive.
I'm curious to find out what your last update was. On the MyFord Touch system, press the 2 gears > HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION. Let me know what the last 5 digits of the CCPU number are. This will help me understand which software version is currently installed.

Did it today! Obtained a new jump drive and followed the directions online. Truck does all the work. Re-paired my phone and I am back in business! The only pain in the but is trying to report it back to Ford online. I'm not sure if they received it, but after several attempts the prompt asking for feedback went away. Alł is well in my universe again.
Thanks to everyone for the help!
