2013 owners report in
so now that the 2013 trucks have been on the road for a few months, and many of you traded in an 09-12 truck for them, what are your thoughts on it so far? are these trucks just as problematic as the older ones in terms of mechanical and electrical issues? overall do you like your new truck better than your last?
also, because we all love pictures, lets see you guys show off your new grilles/wheels/headlights.

I traded by 2010 F150 Lariat in, thought I would have traders remorse and I sure haven't!!!! This truck is amazing and such a blast to drive. I have had a few problems, but nothing major. Haven't had many MFT problems like most, but I've already received the update. I average 22mpg on the highway with the cruise at 65mph.
MPH --> MPG
75 - 17
70 - 19.5
65 - 22
55 - 20
City - 15.5
I have been impressed by the power towing and non towing an highly impressed by the MPGs. If your considering trading I would! Major improvements to previous models, especially my 2010!!!
Problems Encounted:
-Paint Quality (NO paint under doors, under rocker panels, inside fender wells)
-Can't Stop Smiling!!!!
Hope this helps!

Purchased November 16, 2012, gave the 2004 F150 XLT regular cab, long box 4x4 to a family member
Total: 8 days
The first tank of gas lasted roughly 540 miles with 54 miles to empty reported, and a displayeded 17.4 MPG (was up to 17.6). The third of the attached pictures show the MPG read out roughly 60 miles into the second tank - quite surprising considering that my 2004 has average just over 14 MPG for the last year (partly due to a dragging brake problem that was corrected on the day that I placed the order for the new truck).
Problems so far:
* After unlocking the driver's door, I have to pull the handle twice to open the door.
* The navigation in the 2013 is not quite as good as the navigation in my 2011 Mustang GT. An updated MAPS A4 card was apparently released, so I am waiting for that to arrive by mail.
* Not the factory's fault, but the bedliner in the truck does not lay flat - almost like it is 1 inch too long. There were also 3 loose screws sitting in the bedliner.
* Still waiting for the locking lug nuts, wheel well liner, and ambient light kit to be installed.
The truck is very smooth, but makes quite a nice noise when planting the gas pedal on the floorboard - something that was missing from the 5.4 engine in the 2004. The Mustang GT is parked for the winter, so the Lariat is my all wheel drive Mustang.
