Default 2013 FX2 SYNC issues

I have a 2013 FX2 F150 Crew cab with 32k miles. The Head unit SYNC keeps rebooting about 2-3 times a day while I drive on my short 10 min commute to and from work. It has been doing it for a couple of weeks now . I havent done anything different than I have always done. Anyone else ever
had this issue?

Havent had the issue but have seen suggestions of pulling the SYNC fuse for 10-15min as well as unplugging the battery for a system reset.

I could be mistaken, but at some point in the last 3 years I feel there was a Sync update. I have a vague recollection of taking a USB thumb drive out to the truck. Could be something to look into.

Fuse #2 in the fuse box behind the passenger-side kick panel.

Wait, you're telling me constantly breaking and not working isn't a feature of sync 2?

I'd start with pulling the fuse and checking if you're on the latest update. I can't remember if I updated mine but I do recall having some issues when I first bought it but that was years ago. It's been flawless though so I really shouldn't complain, but lots of people have trouble with it.

I pulled the # 2 fuse and both battery cables and let it sit for an hour or so. I uninstalled my phone and reinstalled it and it now will sync again. Everything seemed good until the next day when it started Re Syncing again. It synced 2-3 times in the 5 years i have owned the truck. Now it re syncs 3-4 time daily. I looked into the forums a little deeper and some
are discussing a download for sync that you put on a thumbdrive??? Anyone know about this??

I hope you didn't spend a lot of time digging, considering i mentioned the update and usb drive days ago.

You should be able to Google ford sync software update and follow the instructions. I'm sure there is a YouTube video as well. It's a simple process.

It's not very simple. I have been trying off and on for days.

If this link don't work, google how to update ford sync. That is what I did.
