Interesting...is this a forscan thing?

My headlights don't come on, when in auto setting when I activate my wipers on either my 2018 Lariat (502a) or my previous 2013 FX4.

I used to just leave the switch in the auto position and trusted them to come on when needed. Until a couple of months after buying the truck I was in a convoy of 5-6 vehicles traveling together. We left before sunup and my lights were on. By sunrise we were in thick fog, but bright enough light that my lights never came back on. i didn't realize it until I arrived at our destination and others in my group asked me about it. Told me how difficult it was to see my truck in the fog with no lights on.

After that I decided trusting the auto switch was a bad habit to get into. Haven't used it since.

I don't think so. Pretty sure it was always like that. And I don't see anything in the Forscan spreadsheet.

I always check if conditions are iffy. Our trucks don't have an indicator in the dash, which is silly. Since I like running fogs at the same time, and there IS an indicator for fog lights, it's easy to tell if my lights are on. We don't get a lot of fog here, that would be a common problem for the auto setting.

Mine work with the wipers on my 2013 Mustang, my 2013 FX2 and my 2010 Explorer so it is a Ford thing.
