Default 2013 5.0 engine removal

I have a 2013 4x4 with the 5.0. It is showing cylinder 7 misfire after plugs and coil swaps.
The kiss of death was low compression compared to the other holes.
Rather than change the head, I am leaning toward just swapping the engine with a rebuild.
Can anyone direct me to the "how to" on this? Is there a shop manual and which is the best?
My shop is fairly well equipped and I think I can do this......unless someone who has been there tells me different.

I recently changed the engine and trans in my truck. I debated doing it myself, but finally decided to let someone else do it. The biggest reason was I don't have a good place to work. I'm not sure about a manual, but there are probably several videos available.

Many of us would consider rebuilding an engine that's got the camshaft in the block. I've never dealt with an engine with overhead camshafts, etc. I too would be inclined to go with a long block switching over components from the old engine.

That is another question. The 5.0 in the truck now which is stock, is a short block?
Is the long block another engine that would work, like the coyote?

If you do not know the Difference from a Short Block (Block, Crank and Pistons) and a Long Block (Short Block Components, the Heads, Camshafts and timing chains) I would have someone else do it. BTW the newer 5.0 (2011 and up) whether it is a Short Block, Long Block or Complete motor is a Coyote motor.

How many miles on the engine. Had a bad valve and seat on mine at just under 100k. Ford replaced the head under warranty. (extended). They said they don't repair the heads. I recently replaced the engine and trans, at 310k. I checked into a rebuilt engine, specifically a Jasper engine. Jasper isn't rebuilding the Coyote engine yet. I got a used engine and trans. I worked as a mechanic and have rebuilt engines and transmissions, but I decided replacing the heads or a short block on the Coyote engine is beyond my skill level. I don't think it's a job for a weekend mechanic unless you already have a fairly high skill level. I would have been comfortable replacing the used engine and trans, but I don't have a place to do the work, so I paid some else to do it who did.

I went to a junk yard I trust and got a used engine with 88,oo for $2800. The next week they had one with 70,000. With regular maintenance, I would expect 300,00 from the engine.

My truck has 54K miles I strongly suspect it is that valve or valve seat problem. I bought it used so don't know if the warranty applies? That would be sweet if Ford would replace the damn head on this thing.
Otherwise, iI am fairly skilled mechanicaly have enough tools ect and most important, a large shop where the truck is sitting now.

It's 5 year 60000 miles. 2013 is over 5 years.
