Default 2012 Towing Mirrors

Hey Guys,

I know this question has been asked a lot. However I have yet to find a forum that specifically answers my questions. I have a 2012 ford f150 xlt supercrew. I am looking to install towing mirrors. I have looked around at all the different options you can have for them. The only feature I have on my mirrors currently is that I can adjust them (motorized) from inside the cab. I am going to order the mirrors this week. I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience or references to which mirror I should get. I was wondering if I can install the tow mirrors with the turn signals and motor. And if so does anyone have a website they have used before?

Thanks for everyone's time

If your truck did not come with power fold option you will need to do a lot of wiring. Ford sells tow mirrors that should power adjust and be plug and play.
Follow the link below about the power fold/telescope mirrors and should give you an idea what's involved to make the mirrors telescope. Your truck would involve that kind of research and wiring.

Hope this helps.

In that case I will probably just purchase the manual mirrors. Do you know if the turn signals would work if I didn't have them in the old ones? I have heard of people saying they did.

Thanks for the help

Sorry, I meant the thread below about power tow folding/telescope mirrors.

You can go to Fords web site for accessories and they have a few mirror options for you truck.

From what I've read, the only functions you will have with the new mirrors are the ones you already have.

You will have turn signals and puddle lights if you never had them before.

wanted to add there's a couple of different styles. on my 13 they are the same thing as the super duty but with a different mount. not sure if the harness is the same but the head assy is 1:1 match with the SD. the 9-12 had their own design. also watch for if you want plain, paint to match or chrome skullcaps on them.

Here's what I ended up doing. $50 and I can take them off.
