Default 2012 Power Window issues

All of a sudden, my drivers side front power window started acting up. Switch will work most times, then not at all. And they'll even go up or down on their own. Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine had an occasional issue and the dealer changed out the drivers door switch and all has been good since. ( was under warranty)

Sounds like a trip to the dealership is in your future, SgtAxe. What's the current mileage on your truck?

47K. I drive an hour to and from base everyday, so the miles rack up.

Bump. Anybody else having this issue? I roll my windows down, and then just randomly they will either go up, or go up almost stuttering like.

Mine does it also. They'll start going up and stop or go up then back down.

Of course Ford knows nothing about such issues, yet a google search yields you pages of related issues. I'm leaning towards the regulator. It's not the motor, but could be the switch too. I'll replace both I guess.

My dealer told me that the issue is most often a faulty switch.... That was my case, replaced the switch in under 5 mins and everything has been good since.

I popped out the switch assembly, disconnected everything and looked for anything loose or broken. Found nothing, so I reconnected the switch and put it back in the door panel. Weird. The issue hasn't happened since in over 24hrs. Maybe just a loose connection. I'll keep you posted.
