Why not lift it? Majority of people who put on lifts, don't actually do any serious offroading anyway lol. As said above, the FX2 is the same as any other trim 2wd. Pro comp and BDS offer lift kits for 2wd f150's

Sorry for the possibly dumb question.. But I have been reading about regearing a 2WD for lift... What gearing is needed? I planned on going with the stock 3.15 non limited slip, as I don't plan on towing much. But wanted to make sure this would work.

Ur gearing is gonna depend on what size tire and wheel ur gonna run. U don't really need to regear, it just helps acceleration

I plan to run 35" and 18" so wouldn't the 3.15 limited slip be better for the lift?

If ur gonna run 35s, I wouldn't want anything less than 3.55 gears on my truck. Not saying that u NEED to switch, but I personally wouldn't do 3.15

Ditto. Go with 3.55 and above. You'll like it much better when taking off from a stop and getting up to speed. I once had 32" mud terrains on a Jeep Wrangler with 3.07 rear end and it was a dog.

It would probably be around the same height as a stock fx4. May still be a little lower in the back because I think 4x4's have a bigger rear block
