Default 2011 vs 2014 Tow Mirror Issue?

Backstory:

I just traded my 2011 STX, for a 2014 XLT.
On my STX, I had functioningtow mirrors which I installed after I bought the vehicle.

This weekend I swapped my mirrors on my new truck to these tow mirrors.

I am not getting any power adjust on the tow mirrors on the '14.
The LED turn signal works, so there's power.. but not adjust??

Any idea?

It should be wire the same, but maybe they changed a few in your setup. Doubt it though. You may have to take them off and check the connectors for wires that got pushed back or something like that. Check continuity and stick the other mirror back on to see if it still works.

I will try that tonight... It just seems so weird that they plugged in no problem...

Both sides aren't working, which makes me think its a compatibility issue..

Most likely wired differently. The xlt probably has more options, heated mirror glass etc. I am betting your stx didn't. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Hmmm... I guess I'll have to tear it apart and investigate.

I believe you have to swap pins in harness to another position.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any other info? Like maybe what pins? Or where they go?

I would think it is your mirror adjustment ****. Try installing the old mirror and seeing if they still work. It would be odd that the **** happens to break at the same time you are upgrading your mirrors, but its possible.

Also I had aftermarket tow mirrors on my 2011 XLT, that I swapped over to my 2014 XLT without issue. Unless the wiring in a STX is different than an XLT, you shouldn't have any problems.
