Default 2011 telescopic wheel

2011 has telescopic wheel. I would be interested in what it would take to do this to my 2010. Has anyone thought about this? Initially I would think that I would need some slack in my wiring harness going to the steering wheel controls, along with other parts, and surely there are way more issues than that. Would be interested in hearing some ideas on this. Thanks all.

Had planned on checking into this with my parts manager friend after the 2011's hit the streets. Will post what I find out. Thinking it should be doable, hoping it'll be affordable!

Thanks, so far after 3500 miles on the odometer the lack of telescopic wheel is my only issue with this truck.

My salesman told me that Ford has made several changes on the '11 dash. Hopfully it will not prevent a steering wheel interchangeability.

Pretty sure you're going to be changing out the entire column to make this happen. $$$

Actually its is very easy. Take your truck in to dealer, hand over keys. Sign a piece of paper, take new keys. Drive home. Of course we all know the 2012s will have something else that we wish we had. Damn technology changes.

The new ones with the new engines, not including the 6.2, have electronic assisted steering, so no more power steering pump running off the engines, and the whole steering system has changed, hence telescoping steering!

^ Well, switching to electric assisted power steering is not the one thing that has enabled the 2011s to have a telescoping steering wheel. From what I've seen on this forum and other F-150 forums, lack of a telescoping steering wheel is one of the biggest complaints, especially when you've plunked down $35K - $55K on one of these trucks.
I think Ford has listened to the feedback. Hell, Toyota has this on all their trucks if I am not mistaken as does Chevy.

I could be mistaken here, but I don't think the 2011 has telescopic pedals -- so it may be either wheel or pedals.

Yeah I seriously wish I had ordered the movable pedals option. Impossible for me to get just the right position without adjustable pedals or wheel. Damn.
