one thing is definite, its not power steering fluid, if it is then you REALLY have some problems.

agreed that its from a recent oil change. get under there with some brake clean and a rag. if it keeps spotting after that then I'd take it to a dealer.

Not sure if it's from a recent oil change as I've driven 5K miles since I bought it back in September. I have noticed before (never thought much about it) that every time I stop the truck and get out I hear a noise like something has dripped on something hot. It only happens after I shut the door. Related?

The drip noise you're hearing is most likely from the condensor...not related.

Crawl under the truck and take a quick look. Just drag a clean rag in that catch pan under the oil filter and see if it comes back with fresh oil. I'd say at 5k miles you're due for an oil change anyway. I still don't completely trust the OILM to tell me when to change the oil, especially when I see how dirty mine is at 5 or 6k miles.

My 2012 5.0 spots the garage floor ocasionally but it appears to be "sooty water" (condensation) dripping out of the exhaust. If I didn't stick my finger in it I would think it was oil.
