Hey guys I have a 2011 Lariat on order. I was wondering if anyone know what stereo comes in that package. I heard what the Sony sounds like and was wondering if that is the radio that come with the Lariat Plus package. Thanks for your help!

I guess the premium sony stereo system comes w/nav system on a lariat?

 

you see its a tricky thing.. because the Lariat plus package says it comes with the premium stereo with 6 CD changer. if it comes with the SONY it would be bad ***** if not then i guess not much i can do...

 

I'm no stereophile... but I've played guitar in a few bands and like to think I know a good sounding stereo when I hear one... and I have to say, the Sony 700watt 10 speaker upgrade in my truck is pretty much kick ***. Definite worth while option.

Nav gets the Sony system for sure. As for what you get if you don't get the Nav, I am pretty sure it is a 1 disc system. That's what I originally was going to get. However, if you get the nav, you get a $1k window sticker reduction. So you're adding nav for roughly the same cost as just getting the Sony system.

Lariat Plus is a standard 6 disc in-dash system - but not Sony.

And the Sony system is one of the best productionsystems I have heard in a while - just wish the equalizer gave midtone control. Just bass and treble don't get it anymore.

 

sounds good man i wish i would have heard the SONY before I ordered the truck. To late to change as the truck has been built already and Im waiting for it to be delivered. Oh well I think I could live without the SONY, I doubt they could add it on at the dealer. any think different?
