I too would like to thank you for sharing this information with us. I had my new leer 100xr installed a couple months ago and found this thread to be extremely useful.

Disregard please. Yes, the blue/orange provides power to the light.

Very Informative thread... Thank you!
Does anyone know if there is a similar wire dedicated for use in an overhead courtesy/dome light in a cap (or for use with under rail bed lights)? I know I can tap in to the dome light wire located under the drive side kick panel. Just curious if there is any wire located under the frame or in engine compartment that may be easier to access. Thanks all!

Anyone ever figure out what these two wires are for yet? Continuous Hot or what?

I'm working on installing my cap on my 2013 and thought I'd chime in on the wires provided by Ford. As mentioned, the Blue/Orange wire is for the CHMSL. The Black/Green is a ground wire and the Yellow/Green wire is a constant power wire. Keep in mind that this constant power wire actually will turn off with the battery run down protection feature. So if you are testing it for power, make sure you open a door something, otherwise you may not have power there.

I ended up running a 3 conductor sheathed wire from my engine compartment back to my cap and powered the CHMSL and dome light from these.

Found this after I made the stupid mistake of tapping into the rear brake light wire at the light. I ran it that way for a couple weeks and, when I hooked up a trailer and tested the lights, noticed my third brake light was flashing with the hazards... Never even occurred to me until that moment. Will fix using this write up. Thanks

Default Anyone no where the constant hot is fused?

hello, I found this information very useful but when I was putting the connector on the constant hot on my 2014 f150 I must of shorted out the fuse because I no have no power in the wire. Does anyone know what fuse protects this circuit? I cant seem to find it in the owner's manual and everything else works fine.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was checking My 2010 last weekend I found the Green/Yellow wire was a switched 12,8 volt wire. But the Green had .5 volts I'm thinking ground?
