2011 Brake Over Accelerator and TCS
I'm right on the edge of buying a 2011 F150 FX4 SCrew Ecoboost. I have a few questions about the computer in it.
I've read the manual for the truck already and realize that over 35 mph the Advancetrac (stability control) turns back on no matter what. Is this true? Is there any way to disable it? I want to be able to fish tail around corners in the rain, snow, anytime, but it looks like this truck won't let me?!
I've also heard that the traction control (from reading this forum) is agressive and hurts performance on mud. Thoughts?
My biggest concern is the "Brake Over Accelerator" junk that comes on the 2011s. Can anyone post their thoughts on this? the transmission alone will end up doing screwy things if your "teaching" it you drive with both feet, even if it is on occasion, i only have a 2010, but dont think the truck stock is going to do what your describing without some kind of aftermarket tune or disabling the tsc and advancetrac
In my experience, just learned this, the gas "cuts out" if you try to hit the brake and gas at the same time. I also have a pic of the traction control off at over 45 MPH. I think on the 2011's it stays off. See if I can dig up the pic.

Read the thread "what's the difference between the limited slip and e locker" for more information concerning the traction control on the 2011. Look on youtube for a demo of spinning the wheels in my 2011 FX4. Search dcfluid and watch the 2 videos. You will have no troubles spinning and hanging it out.
One touch of your TC dash button lets you spin the rear all you want but not hang it out. 5 second push of the button disables all the ESC and lets you go nuts, up to 35 mph, and then it brings ESC back on but with higher limits to avoid a roll over or catastrophic wipe out. Works similar to the Raptor system which gets high marks from professional reviews.

But I will contribute 2 things:
If you are doing burnouts on street tires, then you don't know what your doing and are hurting yourself. Don't treat them like slicks with a soft compound, they aren't.
All of the traction controls can be turned off. You will want the ESC on at higher speeds anyway.

DCFLUID: Thanks for the help and videos. I was dissapointed that the e-locker couldn't be engaged in 4x2, but your videos help show that the computer does a decent job of simulating one.
SPDMPO and CJKELLNER77: Sorry guys, but i do know what I'm doing and I'm not a teenager. All of the traction controls can NOT be turned off (over 35mph), and I don't want ESC on at higher speeds. I drive quite well and don't need a computer telling me what I can and can't do with my new truck. I don't go sideways down residential streets or anything dumb like that, but when I'm in the country I like to play. And i'm not afraid of throwing around a few thousand pounds (like the F250 Diesel this weekend...). If a computer is going to limit what I can do, then why have 420 ft-lbs of torque. .... and no, don't say 'Towing'. Becuase if you're towing 11,xxx lbs with a 1/2 ton, you need to think about why manufacturers invented a 3/4 ton truck!

When setting up AX courses, I often tested the course with my F250 6.0 at full tilt. Doing one this weekend, might want to put a few more miles before beating on her, but I'm sure to do the same thing with the F150 eventually. If do give it a shot, I'll let you know how intrusive it is. Not advocating on road antics, but it IS a helluva lot of fun sliding these things around, assuming you know what your doing.

Second, I found on our icy northern Canadian roads that you can drive very aggressive and hang it out almost to the point of losing it before a bit of mild assist from the ESC kicks in if you even notice it at all.
Now all manufacturers have stability control systems and if you do not want it buy a used older truck and not be bothered with any electronic nannies.
