Well, i know that, but just not familiar with this motor. Where would the fuel pump be, in the tank? Just wondering if there is some common things that fail on these 5.0s.

Check the Emergency Fuel shut off, usually under passenger side kick panel by fuse panel, at least it was on my old truck, hope ford still locates it there, cause I never checked.

Ok, so the weird thing was, when I got home, I hopped in and the damn thing started right up....so since I can't trouble shoot it since its working, I'm hoping it doesn't leave me stranded and not start again.

Check fuse #27 in the battery junction box. If there is a problem you will see it when you take the fuse out. Ford offers a fuse relocation kit ? EL3Z-14293-A list price 18.34.

I hate intermittent problems.
Yes, getting stranded gets in the back of your mind.
