2011-2013 Suspension Swap....

given my (lack of) knowledge about what you're asking, i'll just keep my comments to a minimum.
I would tell this buyer to buy it as is or take a hike.
sounds like a lot of things that "could potentially maybe" go wrong during / after the swap, and of course you will be the first the buyer will call if anything happens, major or not.
not worth the trouble unless you found a sucker to buy it for $5k more than what it's worth...

That's too easy a solution...lol.
Unless the price is in your favor, I wouldn't do it. Make him buy it as is. If not, I'm sure someone else will buy it. This is NM and lifted trucks sell here. It can be done though. Here's some of my thoughts.
The rear will be the easiest. It's just blocks and shocks. The front end will be more involved. The front diff has been cut so it will need to stay with the lift. Is the gear ratio the same on both trucks? If not you will need to figure out if a gear swap or swapping rear diffs also, along with a programmer for both trucks, is better for your situation. Welding the inside of the rear control arm pocket shouldn't be that big of a deal. You will need a LCA cam kit to get the alignment back (and to help hold it) on the platty.

Another good point you made; the Plat has 3.55 rear and the FX4 has 3.73 so this is getting too involved and too costly.

Good point; the Plat doesn't have the e-locker so changing out the rear diff wouldn't work as I would have to change everything and lose the e-locker in the FX4 which would be stupid.
That's too easy a solution...lol.
The guy who is buying it is a friend of the family and an older gentleman who really doesn't want/need the lift, so I was the one who thought it might be advantageous to me if I went ahead and swapped suspensions. My shop says it will cost about a grand to do both trucks which is still a lot less than paying for a new suspension and labor to install.

Yeah, that's the part I am worried about; something goes wrong especially since I know the buyer and wouldn't want anything to happen.

If you had the same gears it would be worth some consideration, but you don't, so it would be a lose/lose scenario for both parties(the e-locker can be swapped with $$$). Trucks come and go, but friends are long term, and welding in the crossmembers is fine with me, but will de-value the truck no matter how well done. It's framework, no matter how well done, it will be seen as major framework regardless of the quality of the work.
I totally agree with you and what others have said. It was worth considering but just too involved and too costly.
