Tire rotation, spline greased, drive shaft balanced, new rotors with pads,5100 blistein shocks, new front struts with upper control arms and spark plugs and coils replaced cuz I thought I had a misfire. Well all it was, was putting Energy suspension 1 inch dome bump stops on the fronts of the springs in the rear. I removed the things at the ends from the front of the springs, lifted the truck and inserted the the bump stops with washers on the bottom with the lock nut. Now the truck runs smooth as butter. No more engine clunk from park to drive, truck shift smooth through all out. 1-6, no misfire felling and best of all NO VIBRATION at 55 mph. So I spent all this money and no difference, tell I put a 12 dlls bump stop from eBay and now the truck is smooth. Truck is smooth from 0mph to 90 mph. Before it would shake so bad that I thought the truck would fall apart on the highway.
Can you tell me what is that "bump stop"?
Where do you get it? Could you CTR paste the link to the Ebay page?

Did you say you put that on the front of the bottom leaves? If that solved the issue then the issue is severe axle wrap causing a change in pinion angle, which sets off the vibrations. If as you say it is on the front of the spring, then when the axle twists, that cushion prevents it from fully rotating to the point where it vibrates. If so, that is one really weak rear suspension.

Default Vibration

Yes front of the bottom spring. I would assume so. That would mean that alot of the f150 are experiencing this. I have read they have weak leaf springs to begin with.

A Go-Pro mounted to record the spring movement with and without the stops would confirm it. Would be interesting to see how much that spring is moving.

Default Vibration

I would love to, but don't have one. I'm just glad that fixes that annoying vibration.

I am really at a loss where to start or actually continue trying to find this vibration issue. I have a 2011 5.0l Supercrew short bed. The vibrations are getting worse even after putting new tires, plugs and coils. I can look over and see the passenger seat bouncing like a vibrating chair.

What would be your next steps?

Does it go away with 1000 pounds in the bed?

I can't say I have tested it to know. I will be moving some items soon and can double check. If it goes away, what does that mean?
