Wasnt really comparing the two cars. More like making the arguement to NOT put a turbo V-6 in a truck IMO. Not knocking the Taurus, but the F-150 is heavier than the Taurus or GTO. It will have 4x4 parts to turn as well. I just think that the hopes of the V-6 having gobs of power and getting 25 mpg as some have opined are unrealistic. Now put the 6.2L Corvette motor from the GTO in an F-150 and I'll be first in line to purchase.

Post Going for a 2011

I'm also in the market for a F-150 and I've made the decision to wait for the 2011 with the 6.2 engine.

I fully agree that a larger motor not working as hard should last a very long time and I also have avoided the first year for any new drive train offerings. With that said, the 6.2 will not fall into that category.

Being that this will more than likely be my last vehicle, I want the truck optioned as per my likings and at present, there isn't a very large selection of 2010's left.

you mean like the 2011 will have the 6.2, 411hp 434 ftlb tq.

also the EB will have like 350 - 400 Ftlbs or Tq from 1500 - 5600 rpms, thats Flat and what you need for towing. just saying.
