Default 2010 fx4 no start

So I went to start my truck last night and no crank no start. I can hear the fuel pump but no crank. When I look on the dash the security light is flashing rapidly. I also went to use my remote start to try that and it didnt work either. I tried to start it again today and still no start. This happened to me awhile ago and I just cycled the key a bunch and it finally worked but not the case this time. The remote start is the factory one. Does anyone know what could be wrong? When this happened in the past I called the dealer the next day and they said that they don't know what could be wrong and they would have to reproduce it. I will be calling them to come pick it up on Monday to fix it...

if you try jumping it and the alarm sets off then its your battery.
My family had the same thing happen in march. The stock batteries are a POS.
try swapping it out for a new one or tell the dealer to

I don't think its the battery, it has plenty of juice... If it sits long enough and I cycle the key a bunch of times I can usually get it to start. I am thinking that something with the remote start is messing things up or the chip in the key because when the security light on the dash flashes very rapidly while trying to start it usually signifys a transponder or chip failure.

Both keys don't work.... I am going to leave it till tomorrow and call the dealer and make them tow it there. If they would have only looked into the issue awhile ago and fixed it, it would have saved them a towing bill.

it could also be the sensors in the back of the truck. if something hits it hard enough the truck senses it and shuts everything down. nothing at all happens. This happened to my friends f 250 and the hit on the back bumper was a basket ball. I believe the reset is just in side the tailgate.

I don't think that anything hit the back of my truck... I came home Friday night from work backed my truck up to the house went inside grabbed some things and went to leave again and no start (matter of 10 minutes). I know that there are two boxes under my dash for the OEM remote start I believe on of them deals with the chip in the keys. I think that is where my problem is because neither remote start fob will start my truck either. This just irritates me beyond belief because I got rid of my old truck for reliability issues and now this no start has happened to me twice. Just a little frustrating to spend a lot on a truck and have these kinds of issues. It also doesn't help that the guys at the nearest Ford dealer are rude and no help and the next closest one it 20-30miles.

It sounds like the keys have lost their program to the truck. Tow it to your dealer and explain that the theft light flashes fast and it won't start. The keys can be reprogrammed to the truck using the Ford scan tool.

I called fords roadside service and they are towing it to the dealer tomorrow morning. Can't wait to talk to the service rep tomorrow to say I told you so. Would have saved them a lot of money if they would have fixed it awhile ago when I brought it in now they have a tow bill too.
