Default 2003 F-150 STX cruise control

My Cruise control will not operate. I have done the test looking for the T/S codes. I do get the cruise green light on and that is all I get. I have changed the steering wheel control module and a highway test still does not operate? Any suggestions will be appreciated

Why not? The STX was available in that body style, although I think it was just a package (like the FX4) and not a trim level.

edit: OP, if you do have a 2003, then you'll probably find more help in the 97-03 section (this is the 09-14 section). And I doubt the STX is relevant...pretty sure all F150s of that year would have used the same system. IIRC, on my dad's 02, the cruise light only comes on when cruise is set (vs my '12 where a yellow light comes on when cruise is "on" and turns green when the speed is set). Sounds like the light is coming on like cruise is active, but it's just not controlling the speed?

Default 2003 F-150 STX cruise Control inop.

I can tell you my 2003 F-150 is as follows per the window sticker.
2003 F-150 4x2 Supercab
XLT 139"Wheelbase Stylesid
5.4L EFI V8 Engine
Electronic 4-spd autp O/D

Based on this window sticker I think I have a true original 2003 F-150 possibly with a STX edition at a cost of $995.00

FYI, we're not trying to be jerks; it's just that the '97-'03 and '09-'14 trucks are very different animals in many ways, and you're more likely to find people who know those trucks in that part of the forum.

Best of luck!
