my bike came stock with Pirelli Diablo Super Corsas on them and honestly I wasn't a fan of those, either. I think it's safe to say that I'll never care for any Pirelli product. I was pretty sad to see that they're on the 2015 F150. I already have a set of BFG All-Terrains waiting to go on my new truck when I finally decide on one.

My gravel driveway has a three degree incline and I could not, with the factory tires, back up it in an inch of wet snow without going into four wheel drive. My truck does not have a limited slip rear axle. That is even with the added weight of a cap, a box liner and a rubber bed mat. It was deadly trying to stop in snow or on ice. To me, it is a terrible tire.

I replaced mine with Firestone destinations and it made for a totally different truck.

And for the record, my A/C sucks, I don't like these tires, and Ford's customer service call centres are a useless waste of time. I think that is about all that I have bitched about. I did also want to know if my 5.0 V8 was the only one that has needed to have three catalytic converters replaced. Can you think of anything else?

The OP wanted an opinion on these tires and he deserves my honest response.

Have a nice day.

You're correct, the op did want opinions. But a review is much more inciteful than just saying they're horrible. Anyone with a brain can look at these street tires and determine that they aren't an aggressive tread. I'm not going to get into a debate on traction but just please stop and thinkabout what your asking these to do and what they are meant for. I live in an region that sees a lot of snow and ice. I haven't had any trouble with them. Kick the advanced trac off and I stop fine. Problem is everything has to be idiot proof for some people.

And yes, your posts come off as a bitchy old man. I saw you are entering your golden years. Congratulations on making it thus far and I too can't wait till I can bitch about the little things instead of just adjusting to life.

What do you expect someone behind a phone with no mechanical skills do to fix your truck. Ford does well with it's customer service. If there is a genuine issue that can't be resolved, then my heart goes out to you. We all have been down that road before and it's frustrating. If your retirement income allows, get rid of the turd. Get another Ford. These trucks with issues represent a small percentage out there. People typically only come online to bitch and not to praise. Human nature I guess. I don't following you across threads intentionally. I typically lurk on my cell when I'm bored. It hinders many views and I seldom look at screen names in the posts. Yours has stood out recently because of your signature.

Pirelli Motorcycle Tires grip just fine (that's about 130mph)

haha on the track yes, I had miserable luck with them on the street when I wasn't in a position to constantly be able to keep them warm. they were long gone by the time I did my first track day, but I have heard that was where they would shine.

Smoke270,

This post is about the question posed by the OP and not about what you think about me.

If you go back and read ALL of my posts, you will see that you have missed some history. You cannot form an educated opinion based on reading a few posts while on your cell phone and bored. A major thing that you are missing is that I like my truck!

I truly hope that some members do really hear what I, and others, are saying about some issues, because, we are getting the royal run around from Ford, their dealers and Ford's customer service when we have problem issues with our trucks. If that makes me bitchy, I'm proud to be bitchy. We north Americans have let our leaders give too much away and they have done it right under our noses.

As for the golden years, I'm not sure who came up with that term. I would prefer to still be working and have all of my own body parts. But, I deal with those issues aggressively too.

If you want to go continue this discussion, please start a new thread and let this one come back to the tire issue.

Were you in four wheel drive when getting around fine in the snow with these wonderful tires?

Have a great day.

Default Scorpion ATR's

I've got a 2013 Screw 4x4 with these tires on it. only have about 3500 miles on the tires but they did see some beach off road action in the 4x4 only area of the Outer Banks. Spent a week there miles up the beach where there are no paved roads. They handled the sand better than I expected.I actually pulled another f150 out that was stuck in deep sand, and had no trouble doing that with these tires.

No issues with mine. I light my rears up almost everytime I drive the truck so it seems and I don't care how long they don't last. After almost 10000 miles the rear are wore but not horrible.... and this is me abusing them. I might rotate them one of these days but I honestly don't really care....... because...... people whine about them so much they get ripped off and sold for some usually larger, heavier tire that gives them a warm fuzzy. I drive in a lot worse road conditions than anyone other than my fellow Albertans do, and I don't have an issue with them..... but yes other tires do stick better when cold. Mind you I also can daily drive a detroit locker equipped truck in same said road conditions ( stock all terrain tires on said rig) as can my 19 year old female apprentice and also have no issues. Sometimes a driver mod and not the tires is required.

I take back everything positive I said about these tires. After a (almost) full winter, these tires are just not good at all. Maybe they don't like being cold lol, I don't know. I've had to throw on the 4x4 in situations in the snow that I think a Civic would've been fine....

Default Well.... opinions!

Guess this really depends on your intended use. My use:

99.9% - on road, commuting, day to day, in the South, some rain

.1% - beach, groomed trails

.0% - no mud, snow, rocks

I have zero complaints, in fact I love how smooth and quiet they are. I'm sure if I was in different conditions I would have different opinions. If / when I change them I'll go back to Nitto tires most likely, only b/c I like the looks.

They are large street tires, could easily come on a full size two wheel drive SUV.

JMHO...

Oh for your use, they are great! Before winter, I really liked these tires. I think Ford should maybe assess where the trucks are being shipped and choose tires that way. Not cost effective but it would be nice.
