20" Pirelli tires
Does anyone have any experience/comments with the 20" Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires that come on the FX4 series F150's?
I've checked other sites and there are not many favorable reviews for this tire. Everything from bad grip, wear, and dry rot issues.
I may have found the perfect truck but if these tires are troublesome I'll keep looking.
Thanks!

depends what you are using them for. just regular pavement driving mine aren't bad, but they aren't great in the snow or the mud. and they lack a bit when it's wet. mine are wearing great, 54,000km and not even half wore yet. i do have some weather cracks atarting in them now, i will be replacing mine with toyo open country at2's or duratrac's when the time comes.

Mine have 18K miles on my 2012 F150 FX4, I like them. I might go a different way in the snow being from the Northeast but overall I'm please with the Pirelli's. I'm typically a Nitto tire guy.

Mine were terrible. 15,000 miles and always garaged and they developed cracking around the bead. In conditions other than dry summer roads, they were easily the worst tire I've ever owned. They seemed like they wore ok. at 25,000 miles i finally changed them. I rotated them regularly and they had about 50% life left.

Not sure where you live, but if you don't do winter and drive primarily on paved roads then they should be a decent tire for you.
Mine have 55,000kms on them and still have a ton of tread left. They have been very smooth and quiet.
That being said, I live in Canada and these tires are TERRIBLE in snow/ice. I'd rather drive my RWD mustang with winter tires than my F150 with the Scorpions when the snow flies. Several times I've been driving cautiously at no more than 60km/h and the truck just loses it and gets all over the place. 4x4 is generally required to get it moving up a slightly snowy snowy hill from a stop. But then again, it only takes one look at the smooth tread design to know they are not really meant for winter.
If I didn't do winter, I'd be happy with them, and I did survive last winter, and could easily do it again if I had to, but I'm currently looking at replacing them with some Goodyear Duratracs for this season.

I Like Tires
They last forever, but kinda suck in everything else. Good dry performance, mediocre wet performance, not any better offroad than a street tire. Quiet and ride good. Replaced mine at 70k miles.

16k on mine. I live in Colorado. They wear great. No issues in rain and most snow. i've had them slip a bit in icey condition in the mountains so i'm getting a set of winter tires (duratracs), but i'll keep these for the summer.
