Default 2" level or 2.5" level?

I recently bought a 2013 4x4 Screw Lariat w/EB F-150. I had the dealership install a 2.5" leveling kit about a month after I bought the truck. Now, I have a few buddy's with trucks almost identical to mine. Some have the 2" level and some have the 2.5" level. I've noticed that the 2" level leaves the truck sitting about a half inch lower in the front when measuring from the ground to the center of the fender well. And the 2.5" level leaves the truck sitting almost perfectly level if not maybe even a hair taller in the front. I've measured my truck and confirmed that the front is almost exactly a half inch lower as if it has a 2" leveling kit. Can anyone else confirm that a 2.5" kit will raise the front to the exact same height as the back when measuring from the ground to the center of the fender well?? I still have the stock tires on and to me it's obviously not level. What are ya'll thoughts on how the truck should sit with each of these kits??? Am I crazy, or did the dealership put a 2" instead of a 2.5"????? I believe it's a kit by ReadyLift

Every truck is different

Wouldn't go thru the trouble of getting a 2.5" kit if indeed you have a 2" kit. Drop the rear to make it level if you need. Pretty sure a 35" tire will fit with a 2" kit anyway.

I cannot confirm or deny. I have an Autospring 1.5" level kit. But I can tell you this much, depending where I park my truck, I get different measurements. I have measured perfectly level to 1/2' lower on front to 1/2" higher in front to all four measurements bieng different to one side different than the other and so on.
I know this doesn't answer your question, but maybe it could give a bit more insight to your issue.....

I also have a 13 and was about 2" lower in the front. I put on a free 2.5" with plans of adding a small rear block. Now that I have my tires on, I actually kinda like the look. Check out my thread

Beware the 2.5 sometimes will be to much and make the truck ride like crap

I put a Rough Country 2 1/2" level on the front of my '13 SCrew XLT 4 x4 and got exactly 2 1/2" higher than I was when stock. This makes my truck stand about 1/2" taller in the front.

The kit has been on for about 20,000 miles and has made absolutely no difference in the handling or ride quality. I am also still running the stock 275/65 R18 Goodyears. @ 24,000 miles they look like they'll at least make 40,000 before being worn out!

Well I went ahead and remeasured my truck on a nice level cement slab and this time my front measured the exact same as the back. So, I think now its safe to say the truck is level. I'm still a little skeptical on whether its a 2" or 2.5" but i'm just going to say it's a 2.5" since that's what the dealer claims. Here's a pic I just took outside at work. Man I love my truck...

IMO the 2 inch would be better as that allows a bit of rake for adding weight to the bed or towing.

Can always get a bigger rear block if you still want some rake
