I just picked up a 2012 FX4 Loaded to the hilt! And I am lovin it! As with all my toys (Motorcycles- roadglide.org and photography fredmiranda.com) the first thing I do is find a good forum and start posting! I also know post with out pics stink so here is the dealer shot of my new baby...

Standard upgrades coming LineX, topper, AMP running boards, then maybe exhaust, CAI, alu turbo inlet, and some other engine upgrades as soon as i get spun up on what doesn't void the warranty.

But now on to my first question. I have looked and Have found some USB answers but not this one. When I was buying my truck it was between a demo 13 Platinum and my 12 FX4. The Platinum did not have the sunroof, had 5k miles and was 8k more... So I got he FX4 and glad i did I love all the black out stuff. Anyways while I was shopping i assumed all of them had the usb in the console so I didn't even look but my FX4 doesn't. It has the space and the bump for it just like the 13 platinum so can i put the OEM usb in there? There is just a little cover over the spot where it goes. I will pop off the cover and report back to see if there is a plug end in there.

If its Loaded to the Hilt, I find it very hard to Believe theres no USB ports in the console!

 

Also, great looking FX4!

 

I think his truck has a USB port but the 13 has two USB ports inside the console and that is what he wants in his 12. OP will have to do the USB 2 mod and relocate USB 1 to do this.

 

pretty sure sync is standard on the fx4.

i never added it to mine and its on it.

 

Oh, I Misread! I thought he said it was a 13'! Whoops, yeah the 12's have it in front of the Console shifter, but I thought thers was Another USB Port inside the Flow Through Console also!

 

Yeah it has sync (pretty sweet) but i want a usbin the arm rest part to charge my phone. I think mine might be a late 12 cause it has a different hump in the arm rest than others i have seen. I cant figure out how to add a pic from my iphone yet but when i get back home i'll add a pic. Worst case i'll do the usb mod and make my own but i like oem better while i am under warranty.

 

Yeah, Id like to add the USB 2 mod as well, so I can put a USB port inside my Non Flow Through Console! To keep my Ipod Touch outta sight from would be thieves! But some have had issues frying the Sync Module, or Radio! And that would be a pricey outta pocket Repair, as the Dealer isn't gonna cover that if it were to happen!

 

Lol how did they fry the module? Fail...
