Yes, this strategy is called "Moving the goalposts." Longevity of the current batch of engines past 200,000 miles hasn't yet been tested. Repair costs and reliability ratings are a different discussion.

2012 3.5 platinum just shy of 300k

It depends on how you take care of it. That's anything really. No idea what number owner I am. I know it was used in construction of some sort before I got it.
ive been told the turbos were replaced, no idea about the timing but, it sounds as quiet as new.

eh, there's some element of luck as well. You can take the best care of it in the world but wont matter if you got one with a manufacturing defect that causes a failure down the road, parts that are at the extreme ends of allowable tolerance and increases wear etc. Even those units can be prolonged with great maintenance but something has to give eventually
