It is a perfectly fitting replacement, although not quite a drop in.
Here is some un-asked advice;
(1) Buy new carrier bearings -
(2) Buy a cover with a drain plug, because you should change the 80W140 in that new rear end every 30k-40k miles. It sucks scraping silicone.
(3) Carefully check the axle seals and bearings when you pull them out, and be ready to replace them if they are even a little bit iffy.
(4) Even though you can bolt/unbolt the carrier, and ring gear, and you can put the shims back where you found them, you should find somebody with the right tools to measure the clearances, and check the pattern.
