Default 18" vs 20" wheels

when i bought my FX4 i got the black 20" wheels. since then i have learned more than i ever thought i would on wheels and tires on this forum. i origionally wanted to get some bigger tires for my 20" rims but the more i look it seems that going to an 18" wheel will give me more of what i want.

larger profile on tire - side
smoother ride

any comments are appreciated on pros/cons of either. yea, i searched on it but i want fresh opinions. smartass comments are welcome too.

A lot of aftermarket wheel's are made in China and after a few year's some of them look like crap. May as well stick with OEM 18's or 20's and invest in larger tires like 33 or 34's and still look great as a daily driver. Very little difference in the ride of 18 vs 20's on the newer truck's. 18's may ride a little smoother but not much.

I agree! 18's are the way to go if you want bigger tires. A 33" tire w/18 wheel looks bigger than a 33" tire with a 20" wheel. About the same price though

These are 33x12.5x20's (305x55x20) I never did like the 20's but my truck came with them from the factory. Just came back last week from a 2,500 mile round trip and they did great. 34's would look even better!

I have the same wheels as PawPaw. I got 18" rims and 33" tires because I wanted more sidewall for offroading.

18" 33's = more offroad friendly - more sidewall/less chance for curb rash/less tire size selection

20" 33's = more street friendly - less sidewall/stiffer ride due to more rim and less sidewall/better tire size selection

I have the Factory 18s....they are pretty nice but I'd rather have the 20" factory black wheels. I'd swap you if you want! Just bought my truck on Thursday and have 300 miles on it...
