14 mpg?
I recently bought a new to me, 2013 Super crew 5.0 XLT. I drive about 15 miles to work each way on the highway, and seem to only average about 14-14.5 mpg mixed. No big deal, I am ok with that, I just seem to hear about people getting a much higher MPG average then I am getting. It makes me wonder if maybe there is something wrong with my truck? I try to drive with a light foot, as I have been trying to get the best MPG's I can manage. Getting bad mileage due to driving a truck is not an issue, I expected that.. I just want to make sure this seems normal. Thanks for the input

Lifted/leveled? Larger than stock tires? What speed? Mpg reading from the computer or calculated? My pure stock '13 Screw 4x4 with the 5.0 gets right at about 19mpg (computer reading) @ 55-60mph using cruise. 14 seems a little low to me if your purely stock.

Stock 20" wheels with Scorpion tires 275/55R20, not very aggressive at all. Usually moving about 60-65mph with very little traffic. Stock height, stock everything. Sorry, should have mentioned this in the first post. I also double checked the computer MPG based on mileage traveled and fuel used on fill up, and it seems to be decently accurate.

2wd or 4wd, 20s don't come on an XLT, previous owner probably swapped out. how many miles on your truck, where do you live? cold weather state? look on door jamb and gear differential will show with letter and number. probably 3.31 for 2wd and 3.55 for 4wd.

you can get 20's on xlts if you get the chrome package.

Actually, according to my window sticker, the original owner paid $995.00 for the 20" rims.. So they did come on it, The truck has 3.55 gears and is a 4X4. Its also the flex fuel. The truck has 13,100 miles and I live in Oregon.

I get similar mileage on my 2014 XLT 5.0 with 20" wheels. 4x4. All stock. 3.55 gears. Everyone talks about better mileage. I don't see it. On a road trip from FL to NC, I averaged in the 16's. Around here on the highway, I get 14 mpg or so on the highway at about 65 mph. Around town, I get about 12 mpg. I usually average about 13 mpg per tank.
