I agree with the simplicity aspect. But the mfg's have created the over inflated values to get those who will pay it & we're all stuck with it now. Particularly as the 0 - 5 year trucks would get decimated price wise.

Something else that may be playing into this as well. Maybe the banker/ accounting guys will know this for sure? But if the stated msrp is $40,000 & the sale price is $30,000, the banks in theory are financing roughly 75% give or take a few with nothing to little down scenarios. So it may allow for sales that otherwise would not happen due to the percentage of value financed. If that makes any sense what so ever...

I have a few of those $750 off coupons, they shouldn't be an issue, its from Ford, not something that will impact the dealer.
just got off the phone with a salesman at another dealer and he factored in the 750 custom quarterly allowance or whatever he called it. He also said i cannot use it with the 500 college grad discount.
I'll have to re-read the fine print on the coupon when i get home.

After searching, it looks like the $750 private cash coupon is stackable on top of other incentives? Any info?

That may be referring to dealer incentives... Not sure. It comes in the fine print on both vouchers and when the dealer goes to put them in the system it will kick out the error. I had the same dilemma, opted for the 750.

Yes Sir, it can be combined with the other rebates, and incentives.

Wait until gas prices top $4/gallon again. Seriously.

I did this back in September 2008 and got $13,000 off of my STX Scab, took it home for $17,900 brand-new OTD with a negative-equity trade-in. (I miss that Focus!)

Mistaken on the "last minute slapping". If they know your name, if your name is on the coupon, they know you have it. Don't count on it. The price you've got already have the $750 they are going to get from Ford.

Just picked up a 2013 super cab xlt 5.0v8 with tow package and chrome package and some other options for 29.9 and that includes tax tag and license. I by passed Ford financing and went thru my credit union.

I had to buy the $18 front plate holder extra.

Default sticker price

Looks to me like Ford inflamed sticker prices the last few years and then gave these large discounts to make it look like you were getting a great deal. The windw sticker on my truck was at $57,769.00 but if you go to ford website and build my exact truck now into 2013, it tops out at $52, 179

I still had quite a bit knocked off including $1000 Costco discount and the holiday season $750 bonus.

Why is that? The busiest Ford dealers in the world are in Texas.
