Hey all, I have had a shuddering/vibration issue since I bought this truck with 100k on it, and was searching and searching trying to figure out what could cause it. The only automatic trannies I've ever had were Jeeps, and this is not something I've ever felt from an old Jeep tranny even with 300k on it so it was a new symptom for me. Anyway, I finally settled on changing the transmission fluid as it was the cheapest/easiest place to start, and it fixed it!

So if you have one of these "filled for life/sealed" 6R80's in your F150, you might consider 100k the real world service interval for it, and if you're experiencing a shudder, start there. I'm just glad that's all it was and hopefully if someone else who was in my position reads this they won't stress about it and will get under there and get to changing that fluid/filter ASAP.
