In my case it was the first time that issue happened after 6+ years of mostly trouble free ownership. Glad it was just a case of low oil as I expected the worst. I just keep my eye on it now.

Yesterday started bogging again so I went in for an oil change and it’s fine again. No stains on driveway again so I dunno where it’s going either but it didn’t start this bogging thing until about 120k miles.
I also had the bogging. Only noticed it going up hills. Guess because the low level in the pan would be at an angle. When I changed the oil I only got 3 qts out. Now I check oil level monthly and add a qt about every 1k miles. No longer get the bogging. But now I get the beer cans in the blender sound when going up inclines at the right speed. There's also a few other threads on this subject. This one bugs me even more then the oil issue.

What’s that sound you are talking about? I’ve had a strange sound for 100k but never figured it out. It’s like a gurgle crank noise. It’s amplified on my 87 tune but eliminated on my 93 tune so I use the 93 tune.

Oh my God! What the hell is that!?

I didn't notice the driver changing anything they were doing, and it just stopped as quick as it started.
It's almost like a timing chain sound, only really bad, no one ever been able to trace it yet?

I have no answers. I only get it going up an incline doing about 50mph. You also need pressure on the gas peddle. The second you let up on the gas it goes away. If your on level ground you can give all the gas in the world and it's not there. Really strange. But others have it so it's not unique to me. BTW, that's not my video, it's just that it's exactly what I get. Just started within the last 5k miles .

What's the driveshaft made of on these trucks?

The other chance is that it's top end related, hitting a certain load and resonance point, but i think we're derailing this thread now

That sound of metal crackling is the 4x4 solenoid . It runs off of vacuum and engages half way, barely catching the gears and makes that noise.... if you engage the 4x4 it goes away. vacuum leak are bad diaphragm .... I hate it too
