Some people need to read my post again...I don't normally drive that fast, I just happen to try it one day and found the 100 mph limit and was curious why Ford elected to do this, maybe its a new restriction the government has put on auto makers...I don't know, this is the purpose of forums, to get answers to questions you ask. BTW... Unless you are some 80 year old lady don't even try to convince me you have not opened up your truck to see what it's capable of doing.

On my trip to Arizona, from Houston, Texas we topped out at 100 mph as well in my wife's EB Platinum with 3.55 gears. I don't think we were even turning 3000 rpms when we did it.
Anyone care to speculate what speed these trucks could get to before they "aero'd" out?

without getting into the debate whether you should be driving 100+mph on public roads, most manufacturer's put governors in their vehicles these days. a lot of times they correlate to the speed rating on the tires.

Yup. It's a all a matter of time and place. I think a lot of people don't understand distances and population density. I've spent a good deal of time in MT, NV, ND, SK etc. and one can literally drive for minutes at a time without seeing another vehicle.

Trolling you
This is it. Its a lot easier/cheaper to put a limiter on the truck than it is to pay for speed rated tires. And even if your truck comes with higher rated tires, they usually limit them to the lowest tire type available so as to remove all liability.
Programmers are able to remove the limits though, then it's up to you. My Subaru was limited to 125 from the factory, and "most" european spec cars are limited to 155.

Might be interesting to try 100 mph towing my 8,000 pound toy hauler?
