09 light on shifter not working???

09 light on shifter not working???
Have 09 STX will not roll over. Battery good fuses good.
what I noticed is the gear shelter is not lighting up. Step on the brake will not shift or nothing?
Seems like it’s not telling it that it’s not in park? With the light not working. Is it a sensor?
