09 F150 Platinum Blower Fan Plug/ Wiring Harness Issue?
The issues on this truck started about 4 months ago. When the air conditioner kicks on immediately after the truck starts you can hear a small clicking sound under the dash (door actuator?) that stops after about 30 seconds.
Another issue is that I will be driving down the road and the air conditioner will completely shut off. When this happens I have no control on the main console of the truck. No dual climate, no radio, no main screen. I can get it to come back on if I wiggle the wiring harness under the passenger side of the dash.
We have looked at the wiring harness plug and the female side has a plug thats obviously been hot. A YouTube video told us to bend every other male prong slightly with needle nosed pliers to make it tighter when it gets plugged in. This fixed our issue of the cable being loose but it still gets rather hot, but never hot enough to blow a fuse.
Should I get a new wiring harness (new or salvaged) and try to replace it?
